With Thanksgiving just a week away, we’re moving onto Dallas for our costliest city of the week.
Dallas is known for large steaks and an even larger NFL stadium. No wonder that you find some of the most expensive prices for common procedures here too.
Costliest procedure: A CT scan of the head/brain. Out of our top 30 cities, Big D ranks as the ninth priciest on average ($1,615), which is actually a 16% year-over-year decrease.
Curious fact: Dallas has, by far, the widest price range for a mammogram. Dallasites can pay anywhere from $50 to $1,045 for this potentially life-saving procedure – nearly a 21x difference!
